For all the smutty relationships, slash or otherwise, that I have played— the couple that I am most proud of RPing with my partner is a married couple. They’re comfortable with eachother, familiar. Outside of the bedroom. They’ve seen eachother at their best, at their worst, fought with eachother, comforted one another— they’re even raising a child together. Nothing can really surprise them.
So it’s entirely alright when some nights, my character can’t get it up or or finishes too quickly or isn’t in the mood or is too exhausted; falls asleep. That’s alright. Disappointing for the characters, maybe, but they can deal with it. There’s something about doing a sex scene /wrong/, something going wrong, that’s just right. Because it’s not that idealized “he got hard and they did it and they both got there 5 times” that’s obviously only there for the sake of the writers.
I guess it takes an RPer to want to do smut with you, but it takes a special king of RPer to want to do it right.
Although I always feel horrible for the not they cum 80 times sex scenes because its usually (but not always) some sort of issue. Like random bouts of embarrassment caused by insecurities, or an argument cuz somebody thought they hurt someone else….
Its always awesome feeling like I stayed true to the character but sometimes I wish it could just always be sunshine and orgasm rainbows
